Pricing methodology

A market reference, not a guess.

Up Set publishes a clear current value after eligible evidence passes the model’s quality and reasonableness checks.

Published values

Up Set values are references for new, complete items unless a product is explicitly labeled otherwise. Published values may use multiple marketplace and retail signals, with attention to recency, condition, shipping where available, listing quality, activity, and supply.

Retail versus retired

For a current retail set with a reliable MSRP, Up Set treats MSRP as the primary collection value while showing the market trend as context. For a retired set, the current published market value takes priority. Products without a meaningful MSRP, such as some promotional or magazine-included items, use the published market value when available.

Quality controls

Evidence can be delayed, rejected, or held for review when it conflicts, appears incomplete, or fails a practical check: could a reasonable buyer expect to purchase the item near the displayed value today? A price is not a guaranteed sale or purchase price.

Updates

Values can change as new evidence is processed. Dates and coverage shown in the product experience indicate the information available to the published model at that time.
